    • KASHMIRI WAZWAAN The unique Wazwaan cuisine was first introduced to the Kashmir valley back in the 15th century by the invader Timur & his cooks from Samarkand, Afghanistan. The descendants of those cooks, the wazas are now the master chefs of Kashmir. Waan is the Kashmiri name for shop. Wazwaan is therefore literally a cook-shop or restaurant. In practice the Wazwaan is an elaborate feast served to honoured guests on the most special of occasions; in days gone by it would often comprise of no less than 36 courses! Today you can usually expect just a meagre 7-12 courses to be served. Today our TAMARIN Vasta Waza (master chef) offers you a taste of the Kashmiri Wazwaan right here in sunny Goa.
